COExperience Silver Sponsor April 2023
April 2023 Miami, FL: Anark was pleased to be a Silver Sponsor of COExperience 2023, the Dassault Systèmes user run conference that has been in existence since 1984. COE is a community that Anark has supported for many years with solutions to maximize their 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, ENOVIA, SmarTeam investments in addition to other IT, PLM, CAD systems and more that are typical in the complex environments that Anark Collaborate helps optimize. Anark's digital collaboration software makes product data accessible and actionable across manufacturers and their suppliers for better, faster decisions. Anark Collaborate extends the value of PLM and CAD for customers like Boeing, GE Gas Power, NAVAIR, Hydro-Quebec and more.
During the event, we were joined by a very special guest and friend, the original founder of COE in 1984 when he was at Northrop Grumman, Mr. Bill Abramson and his wife who now live in Florida!
Turn Suppliers into Innovation Centers with Anark Collaborate
Jim Martin and Grayson Ellsworth presented on how Anark Collaborate enables a frictionless supplier collaboration portal together with modern or legacy Dassault technologies plus your other engineering and manufacturing software investments. For too long, manufacturers have made trade-offs by using generic content collaboration platforms or procurement systems for supplier collaboration, with poor results. Anark Collaborate connects directly to V6/3DEXPERIENCE, ENOVIA, CATIA, SmarTeam and other Dassault Systèmes products to enable a technical content collaboration platform designed for manufacturers and their suppliers.
In this session, attendees learned how to:
- Turn procurement and suppliers into innovation centers.
- Regain valuable engineering time to focus on innovation.
- Empower everyone to focus on the work that matters most.
- Extend 3DEXPERIENCE to everyone inside and outside your organization.
It’s time to redefine collaboration and innovate faster.
As an example of innovating faster, Kena Yokoyama, Engineering Manager for Product Definition, GE Gas Power had the following to say about the results they observed as they improved their Technical Data Maturity Level via Anark Collaborate, resulting in a modern, flexible, web-based approach and system for more secure, effective and traceable collaboration with their suppliers:
“Our error rate has been coming down by a significant amount every year…
…with Anark our error rate has gone down to 5% to 10% which is much lower than it used to be.”
Anark also update the experiences of Boeing and how they are “Utilizing 3DEXPERIENCE, Anark & Open Standards to Deploy a Connected & Collaborative Digital Enterprise”. Boeing is embracing open standards as a cornerstone of its Digital Thread vision for improved data access and collaboration throughout their extended enterprise and Anark is a proud Boeing 2nd Century partner, providing advanced content management, data distribution, & visual collaboration throughout extended enterprise. We integrate seamlessly within diverse Boeing data management & digital ecosystems.
Hydro-Québec continues to deploy their automated 3D PDF transformation and publishing platform to create interactive 3D model-based electronic documentation from CATIA MBD mock-ups. The 3D PDF documents respect the legal requirements of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ - the self-regulatory body that governs Quebec's 55,000 professional engineers), including electronic signature and long-term archival requirements. Anark Publish automates publishing of easy-to-interpret, MBD (model-based definition) mock-ups of civil engineering structures. These documents are accessible by all divisions and building contractors, thus speeding engineering, bid and building cycle times while reducing errors.
Projects such the NAVAIR PMA-261 program defined automated systems for the creation, validation and delivery of standards-based Technical Data Packages (3Di documents) to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and other Navy groups, all based on MIL-STD-31000B for future provisioning, cataloging and sustainment needs. This trend of 3Di creation is accelerating with defense services requiring technical data be validated and delivered using 3D PDF, an approach that Anark pioneered 10+ years ago. Also, the mindset of the U.S. Department of Defense is changing rapidly in regards to Cloud hosted TDPs and Anark is closely aligned to support future Technical Data as a Service initiatives the DLA is pursuing.
