Anark Core 4 and the Model Based Enterprise
Unleash Model Based Design Data and Create Fit for Purpose 3D PDF Manufacturing Documents
Register NOW
While it has been possible for some time to define all aspects of a product within 3D CAD design applications ("Model Based Definition"), effective reuse of 3D CAD and embedded 3D MBD data for downstream manufacturing processes has been elusive for the following reasons:
- Use of multiple CAD design applications and multiple incompatible file formats throughout the supply chain almost always destroys important design intent information;
- Lack of "standard" modeling methods to define design data and product attributes makes it nearly impossible for non-engineers to sort through the "rat's nest" of complex design information;
- No efficient methods to effectively filter model based design data for different manufacturing use-cases forces tedious and time consuming manual data modification to make MBD data "fit for purpose"
- Until recently, no "standard" platform for distributing, viewing, and interrogating 3D CAD models.
Despite these hurdles, Anark will show that new developments and industry events have converged to create a "perfect storm" that will finally enable manufacturers to create and share rich product manufacturing data across the extended enterprise using Adobe's prolific and secure 3D PDF platform.
Anark Core is an authoring tool that also provides an automated bridge for transforming complex 3D CAD data sourced from PDM and enterprise databases into lightweight 3D PDFs for downstream users. Register now to discover how to create fit-for-purpose 3D PDF manufacturing documents including technical data packages, animated work instructions, first-article inspection documents, and RFPs/RFQs.
Anark Core 4 and the Model Based Enterprise will take place June 1, 2011, 11AM Pacific, 12PM Mountain, 1PM Central, and 2PM Eastern Daylight Time.
